VCF's Phoenix regard for missions is of the utmost importance to us, declaring God's good news of love, faith and power to save.
What is the importance of Missions Trips? In our love for Christ we want to fulfill the commission to go and make disiples of the nations. Mission trips are fruitful
and a blessing for us and those we go to, we are incomplete until we give ourselves to
His call to missions. (Matt.28:19)
Our investement of time, energy and love in those
countries that we visit and minister in have the effect of strengthening our character in
Christ. They bring an awareness of the great need of various peoples around the earth; they encourage a "Servants Heart"; break down barriers
that seperate God's people of differing cultures; they develop new and
extraordinary levels of faith, as believers go to the nations and experience powerful encounters with the holy spirit.
Missions strengthen the unity of the local church as people learn to work in team-oriented environments, great bonds
of friendship and devotion to one another are reinforced during the missions experience. Missions engergize the local
church body with renewed zeal for evangelism, a healthy sense of pride in their local church and bring about a strong
realization of the importance of ministry and missions throughout the world.
